Seaweed granules can be mixed into your compost, spread directly around established plants, added to a planting hole or scattered over the lawn to produce a lush green.

Our super seaweed, Ascophyllum Nodosum, is harvested from the clear, unpolluted waters surrounding the Shetland Isles. Totally natural, sustainable and organic, there are no chemicals in these bags, just Altantic breezes and sea-gull sounds.

Once its collected into buckets by our friends Margaret and Michael, the seaweed travels a few hundred yards to the drying sheds, where the salt is washed off, dried and packaged up into an organic, reusable jute bag. Talk about reducing carbon footprints, these guys don’t even leave a finger print.

At least six inches of stalk is always left to allow our seaweed to regenerate and grow back stronger than ever. This practice is so special, Scottish Natural Heritage have to monitor the entire thing.
